Bo Erik “Gustavo” H. Ruvalcaba is Director and Chief Technology Officer of CAL-IN.
Mr. Ruvalcaba has over 23 years senior management experience specializing in indoor air quality and industrial mechanical engineering. Gustavo served as President and Partner in Grupos de Empresas Mexicanas for 23 years and remains on the Board and Advisory Committee. At Grupos, Gustavo managed the company’s key accounts, which included Ventilacion Industrial, S.A., a filter manufacturing company serving both public and private companies in commercial and industrial air filtration, dehumidification and clean-room manufacturing. His early positions included Partner, Project Engineer, Master Planner and Department Head of Engineering.
Gustavo has advanced knowledge in the area of fluid dynamics of aerosol and motion in outdoor and indoor environments. He specializes in IAQ, filtration, dehumidification, and HVAC solutions for public and private industries. A wide range of industries, including, nuclear, defense, pharmaceutical, medical, aerospace, petroleum, automotive, electric generation, commercial buildings, and the food and beverage industry have utilized his cost-effective, technical solutions.
Mr. Ruvalcaba graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Ibero Americana in Mexico City. Mr. Ruvalcaba was formerly a Senior Member of the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technologies (IEST). Due to his renown in the industry, Mr. Ruvalcaba was asked to teach courses for Mexico's Social Security Administration (IMSS), 2nd Delegation in the Northeast area of the Capital (Federal District) - the topic was "Security and Hygiene at Work".
